At the tender age of 17, American singer-songwriter and pop sensation Billie Eilish has witnessed success which many renowned artists took eons to achieve. After breaking the internet recently with her six Grammy nominations, Eilish appeared on tonight’s episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, where she talked about her first-ever stage performance at the American Music Awards 2019, which is taking place this Sunday (November 24, 2019).

When Jimmy asked if she would find it intimidating to perform at the biggest music event, which will witness the presence of greatest music legends, Eilish was quick to answer, "It’s more like competitiveness with myself”.

The young musician also feels that the universe is constantly trying to pit artists against one another and that’s really sad. Kimmel agreed with her saying how even he would encourage and watch his fellow-comedians grow than compete in the race.

The ‘Lovely’ singer along with Lizzo and Ariana Grande, has received highest number of Grammy nominations under six categories, which includes Album of the Year for ‘When We All Fall Asleep’, Record of the Year and Song of Year for ‘Bad Guy’, Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘’When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’.

While on the Late Night show, she even discussed her plans for her birthday next month. Eilish, who will be turning eighteen in less than a month, is excited about being able to drive her car past eleven in the night.

Despite being lauded as one of the most recognized musicians in the world, Eilish chooses to remain lowkey with respect to her personal life. She told Kimmel that she still lives at her parents’ and from the looks of it, it doesn’t seem like she’s getting her own place anytime soon!
