'Jersey Shore' fans shocked as stars Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi Giancola reunite for show's next season

Fans were shocked and happy to see Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi Giancola co-existing

TUCSON, ARIZONA: Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi Giancola are filming for the next season of MTV's show 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation'.

On Monday, the former flames were spotted by fans in Tucson, Arizona while shooting for the popular show with other cast members including Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and his wife Lauren, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, and Zack Carpinello, Deena Nicole Cortese and her husband Chris, Angelina Pivarnick and her fiance Vinny Tortorella, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino.

In footage that has surfaced online, the exes were seen happily dancing with the rest of the cast. 

On Thursday, Vinny posted a video on his TikTok page. Fans of MTV's reality show could not help but but shocked as they got to see Giancola and Ortiz-Magro in the same room after all the drama that culminated. As Vinny's TikTok made its way to X, formerly Twitter, fans expressed their surprise.

One fan wrote, "Damn, Sammi & Ronnie in one room?" A second one exclaimed, "I didn't think Ronnie & Sam would really end up in the same room."

One fan was happy with the video, declaring, "Omgggggg I love that Ronnie and Sam are co existing," as another shocked fan wondered, "WAIT IS THAT SAM AND RON TOGETHER?" A fifth fan also wrote, "Wtf Sam & Ron in a room together laughing."

In a new episode, Ronnie says he made "a lot of mistakes" with his ex and wants to apologize. He hopes that they could co-exist. On the other hand, Sammi had moved on and she did not need to have a conversation for closure. The new clip has proven that the two have reached a point where they can co-exist.

Why did Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi Giancola split?

Giancola and Ortiz-Magro began dating in Season 1 of the show 'Jersey Shore'. Like every other relationship, theirs also went through its own share of ups and downs. 

They called it quits for the first time in January 2010. At that time, they split on camera during the live reunion special that aired on January 21, 2010.

The two of them reconciled their romance when Season 2 of the show premiered.

However, they weren't meant to be together as they pulled the plug on their romance for good in August 2014.

While having a chat with People magazine at the premiere of Farley's film 'Jersey Shore Massacre', Ortiz-Magro said, "We were drifting apart and not really spending any time together."

He further added, “I still care about her. She’s a great girl, but we were growing distant. It was for the best.”

Does 'Jersey Shore' star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro have any children? 

After his split from Giancola, Ortiz-Magro moved on in his life with Jen Harley.

The 'Jersey Shore' alum welcomed his first child with his then-girlfriend Harley in 2018, before the two split in 2019.

In April 2018, the pair was blessed with a baby girl. They named their daughter Ariana Sky.

Harley is also a doting mother to a son Mason from a previous relationship. 

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was arrested for domestic violence in 2021

In April 2021, Ortiz-Magro was arrested by the cops in Los Angeles for domestic violence. Shortly afterward, he was released on $100,000 bail, per ET Online.

At that time, he revealed on an Instagram story that he would be leaving the show to seek help for his mental health issues.

At the time, he wrote, "After talking to the team at MTV, we have mutually agreed that I will step away from the show while I seek medical treatment for mental health issues that I've ignored for too long."

He went on to say, "My number one goal now is facing my struggles head on. This process will be difficult, but my #1 priority is to get healthy and be the best man and the best father I can for my daughter."

Sammi Giancola was previously engaged to Christian Biscardi

Soon after Giancola and Magro parted ways, she began seeing Christian Biscardi.

The former couple began dating in 2017 and got engaged in 2019.

Initially, the pair had plans to get married in 2020 but they had to change their wedding plans due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In July 2021, Giancola confirmed their split in a Q&A video posted on her TikTok account.

The video showed her performing the viral Chopping Dance while answering the questions that flashed on her screen.

Then, one caption read, "Are you single?" to which she replied, "Yes."

Another asked her, "Are you happy?" Soon, she responded, "YESSS!"

At the moment, Giancola is dating Justin May.
