Though the summer does not officially commence until June 21, Jennifer Lopez is already enjoying the beach and bikini season. The dashing 52-year-old artist kickstarted her summer on Tuesday, May 31, sharing some snaps on her Instagram where she was seen having the time of her life by the poolside.

JLo was killing it in a black bikini and four-inch heels. Her hair was down in natural waves. She completed the look with gold hoops and two rings. As for a shield for her eyes, Lopez wore $401 oversized Versace sunglasses.

She also wore heeled mules from her own label and captioned the series of images, "Summer mode: activated. 😎🖤 #BehindTheScenes #linkinbio"

The clip in the last slide shows JLo twirling around, accompanied by her furry friend. Lopez, who was recently engaged to Ben Affleck, barely looks half her age in the pictures. She credits her physical training routine and her favorite trainer David Kirsch for the grueling workouts that keep her looking fit and toned. Her trainer described her as 'very hyper-focused and very disciplined', according to The Post.

He added, "There’s no quit in Jennifer, she’s hardcore. She was very hyper-focused and very disciplined. At 50, she has better muscle tone than some of my clients who are 25. She keeps her diet very clean. There’s no way you can maintain a body like hers without being strict about diet." He also said, "She hasn’t had caffeine or alcohol in years."
