On Wednesday, February 3, American singer, songwriter, and actor Tremaine Aldon Neverson, who is better known as Trey Songz, started to trend on Twitter after rumors of a leaked sex video surfaced online. The Grammy-nominated artist — who was recently spotted partying with lingerie-clad women at a crowded Las Vegas event barely one week after being arrested at an AFC Championship Game for refusing to wear a mask — turned several heads on Twitter after an alleged video surfaced on social media platforms.

The ‘Say Aah’ singer Songz, 36, has not confirmed that it is him in the video as the man’s face is not showing. However, several people on Twitter alleged that the man in the leaked sex video is the singer as the tattoos on the man’s body match with the singer’s famous tattoos. Several even said that the man’s voice in the leaked sex video is that of Songz.

Who is Trey Songz?

Born on November 28, 1984, as Tremaine Aldon Neverson, he was raised as a military brat by his mother April (Gholson) Tucker — who was seventeen at the time of his birth —and stepfather Claude Neverson Jr in Petersburg, Virginia.

Did you know Songz never wished to pursue a singing career? In his early days, he was very shy and once said, “Singing wasn't a reality for me until other people started noticing I sounded good.” He stepped into the world of glamor when record producer Troy Taylor spotted him through his step-father and signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records in 2003. Soon after getting recognition, he moved to New Jersey.

Spilling the beans on his everyday life, Songz said, “I’m in the gym everyday, I like to bowl, I like to get out and be active. I’m a foodie so I like to go out and eat at different restaurants. That was diminished. I love to play basketball. I’m pretty simple. The thing about it is, if I wasn’t working, I’d be in the house. One of my friends made the joke, he said ‘You been in quarantine for about three, four years now.’ If I don’t have to leave my house, I generally don’t.”

A third Twitter went on to say, “Me after I checked to see why Trey Songz was trending. Do those come in blue?” And fourth wrote: “Sooooooo who has Trey Songz video asking for a friend.” And another said, “I thought Trey Songz did some f*ck sh*t again as it pertains to Covid but I was def wrong on why he’s trending. If that’s really him in the video...well.”

Amid all the allegations and wild speculations on the microblogging site, it is not confirmed that it is Trey Songz in the alleged video clip. Nonetheless, many fans can't stop talking about his manhood and have been posting a series of thirst tweets — hoping they could have someone like Songz.

Trey Songz's recent arrest

The R&B singer was jailed overnight on January 25 after scuffling with police officers during his arrest for not following coronavirus protocols. The Kansas City police said that fans at the game between Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs complained about a man who was not following COVID-19 protocols and other code of conduct rules, which include not being disruptive, intoxicated, or using obscene language.

Police said the man in question refused to follow orders from private security guards and was asked to leave. When he refused to leave the arena, officers from the sheriff’s office were called, and he was told he would be arrested if he didn’t comply with the rules.

What is Trey Songz's net worth?

Following his release, Songz took to Instagram to share a post from the “free world.” He didn’t say anything about his arrest but captioned a slideshow of pictures, “Chiefs game was lit right?!”

Popular for his eight albums — I Gotta Make It (2005), Trey Day (2007), Ready (2009), Passion, Pain & Pleasure (2010), Chapter V (2012), Trigga (2014), Tremaine (2017) and Back Home (2020) — the singer has quite a huge fan following now.
