In a year like 2020, even Santa can’t make everyone happy, so the Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X has come to be the new Mr Claus and grant his fans all the holiday wishes. The ‘Old Town Road’ singer has partnered with Postmates to spread festive cheers through the ‘Better than Santa’ Christmas campaign. Here’s what he said.

On Tuesday, December 8, Lil Nas X took it to Twitter to announce the special Christmas partnership with Postmates where he shared in all caps, “I’M TEAMING UP WITH @POSTMATES TO GRANT PEOPLE THEIR HOLIDAY WISHES. USE THE HASHTAG #BETTERTHANSANTA AND I MIGHT GRANT YOUR WISH!”

To get the holiday wishes granted, users just have to tweet out their holiday wish with hashtags #BetterThanSanta and #PostmatesContest. No purchase is necessary to get your wish granted, the rules stated. To kick off the #BetterThanSanta campaign, Lil Nas X has "postmated" from Hotville Chicken, a Black-owned restaurant and Best of LA winner, to the Covenant House California —an organization in Los Angeles that supports young people facing homelessness.

Lil Nas X also shared through the Postmate site, “Helping to bring joyful vibes to people this year is really important to me, and I’m super excited to join forces with Postmates to grant people’s holiday wishes this year with #BetterThanSanta.”

Twitter users have been pouring their wishes to the rapper, asking from asking him to pay off their credit card bills to a Zoom date, all kinds of wishes can be found. A user said, “Lil Nas I would just love for us both to eat takeout in our respective homes and Zoom while watching one of the spy kids movies together and making commentary. Also some of your merch would be delicious. Also I love you immensely.” Another said, “i wish call me by your name to be released soon” referring to the ‘Rodeo’ singer’s new album which is supposed to release soon.

In July this year, he shared a snippet of the track ‘Call Me By Your Name’, which will be one of the tracks of the upcoming album. More tracks, 'Titanic' and 'Don't Want It' were revealed later which will also be a part of the album.
