Chinese media alleges that Jackson and Yuqi, who had appeared on a C-variery show together, went out on a date but fans of GOT7 turn the rumor into memes

Rapper Jackson Wang from China, as he likes to call himself will finally be able to proudly take the title of being the first GOT7 member to have a dating rumor about himself. As of February 22, Jackson took over the Twitter trends as a video posted on the Chinese network, Weibo reveals that he was seen on a romantic date with (G)I-dle’s Chinese member Yuqi. The video, which is now going viral on Twitter reveals that Jackson was seen entering a hotel where Yuqi arrived a while later and the (G)I-dle member was seen leaving with ‘three roses’ in her hand.

The K-pop group GOT7 made its official debut in 2014 and to go eight years without having any dating scandal is a stupendous record on its own but talk about a mature and non-toxic fandom like Ahgases who have turned the rumor into a joke and have started making memes about it. Ahgases are now talking about how the ‘Fendiman’ singer could never let the woman he loves walk out with three roses only while others are talking about how fans need to give Jackson and Yuqi some privacy if the rumors are in fact true.

Yuqi and Jackson’s alleged romantic getaway

A clip from what looks like a news report from China has been doing the rounds on Twitter where Chinese media alleges that GOT7's Jackson Wang and (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi are dating. The video revealed a few clips of Jackson wearing a yellow jacket while Yuqi was supposedly seen heading to Jackson’s house after she first checked into a hotel. Some fans believe that this could be an official business meeting as Yuqi’s debut single ‘Giant’ was produced by BOYTOY who is a producer for Jackson’s label, Team Wang.

The video also reported that on her way back home, the next day, Yuqi was seen carrying ‘three’ roses in her hand which is rumored to be from Jackson to her which fans have now started to rubbish because they know that Jackson, who is the global ambassador for the brand Fendi, is a big spender. One fan said, “They really thought that JACKSON would give only 3 roses to the one he loves?? Lmfao.” Another fan said, “I believe jackson would have given more roses than that but please bring on the dating rumors.” One more fan said, “Ahgases are really funny one minute they’re celebrating bcos after 8 years there’s a got7 dating rumor and then the other minute they’re doubting that THE jackson wang will only give 3 flowers to his lover.”

Even as fans really wished that Jackson was finally dating, the rumor was then debunked to be untrue as both idols were not even in the same place at the time as the viral video reports. One fan said, “Okay fun’s over it’s fake LOL jackson left beijing on the 24th and yuqi left nanjing to go to sk on the 23rd they weren’t even in the same province.” Another fan said, “It was debunked anyways in like 5 minutes cuz yuqi and jackson werent in the same province.”

Fans of GOT7 have been extremely supportive when it comes to the personal lives of their idols. While the rest of the world was scandalized by Jackson’s dating rumor, Ahgases started making memes, celebrating for the five minutes they had before the rumor was debunked as one fan said, “Okay but Jackson first dating rumour after 8 years of being an idol shut up I'm celebrating.” Another fan joked, “Jackson Wang First dating rumor with a girl while Yugyeom First dating rumor is with hanbin. I can't with GOT7 dating rumor. Waiting for COCO'S DATING RUMOR.” Fans are also manifesting dating scandals between GOT7 members’ pets as one said, “Coco/milo and dalkyum dating rumor when?”
