SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: 'The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City' Season 4 star Angie Katsanevas belongs to Greece as her parents are Greek immigrants who travelled to the United States of America.

Angie recently has been accused of being associated with 'Greek mafia'. In a recent episode, Bravo show newbie Monica Garcia claimed that she heard rumours about Angie being in a Greek gang.

In the confessional interview, Monica recalled a lunch with Meredith Marks just three weeks earlier of their Bermuda trip. The reality star admitted, "We were hanging out in Park City on Main Street which Meredith told me used to be run by the Greek mafia."

She elaborated, "Which then led to a discussion about Angie, and how she could possibly be in the Greek mafia." Monica further noted that she later got a phone call from Meredith telling her she was DM'd from 'this random Instagram account about Angie'.

When Monica checked her own DMs, she revealed that "there were messages telling me all about Angie and [her husband] and how shady they are with their business and everything." The mystery message also included 'documents' about her finances and bankruptcy.

However, Angie would confront Monica and Meredith over the 'Greek mafia' accusations. Meanwhile, the viewers didn't believe Monica's accusations and claimed that Angie could not be in any mafia group.

A Reddit user said, "I would have believed this if she wasn’t threatening Angie before. I just don’t believe that it’s a coincidence that after how she was talking, those DMs fell on her and Monica’s laps."

Another person added, "I’m sorry but how can anyone believe Angie K, with the pink poodle and hairstylist husband, is apart of the GREEK MAFIA?!?!? That rumor is beyond a reach lmfao."

Another critic noted, "Imagine if Angie is in the Greek Mafia. That would eat 😂." Another viewer tweeted, "Angie would be so much cooler if she was in the Greek mafia."

Another social media user wrote, "Can’t believe there are rumors about Angie k being in the Greek mafia, I didn’t even know she was Greek."

Angie Katsanevas claps back at Monica Garcia's 'Greek Mafia' claims

After Monica Garcia accused Angie Katsanevas of being in 'Greek mafia' in the previous episode, 'RHOSLC' Season 4 star took to X (formerly Twitter) and called out the Bravo show newbie.

She shared a video of herself in bed with her husband Shawn. Angie seemingly slammed Monica and said, "Fake news is cheap."

Angie added, "It's cheap to produce and it’s as cheap as the people writing it and repeating it." Angie's father, Leonidas 'Louie' Katsanevas also appeared in the video and addressed his struggles after coming to America.

While using the Greek word for 'grandfather', Angie said, "Papou's story is inspiring." She elaborated, "And it reminds us that Greeks and all immigrants can come to America and be successful without doing it illegally or being in the Greek mafia."

Alongside the video, Angie wrote in the caption, "Greek word of the day is truth αλήθεια." She added, "Fake news is cheap to produce. The true story of the American dream is inspiring. It is one of hope hard work and perseverance. Greeks and ALL immigrants can be successful without doing it illegally."

Who sent DMs to Monica Garcia about Angie Katsanevas being in 'Greek mafia'?

In the previous episode of 'RHOSLC' Season 4, when Monica Garcia asked Meredith Marks if she got similar messages after 'Greek mafia' claims, she said, "I don’t think so."

Meredith further noted, "But I don't know. I'm really really far behind on my DMs... I don’t know anything about it." However, Monica pointed out that Meredith's reply was quite odd.

She noted, "I don’t know if Meredith is severely jet-lagged and exhausted and dehydrated. But I’m very confused why she’s acting like she could not care less about the DMs when Meredith was the one that called me to tell me about the DMs in the first place."

Meanwhile, the viewers claimed that Meredith was behind the mystery Instagram account from which Monica received the documents.
