The death of George Floyd has sparked nationwide protests and unrest. Amid all the ruckus, several celebrities are coming out in the open and sharing their thoughts on the rampant racism that has seeped into the culture.

Recently, model and actress Ireland Baldwin spoke up on Instagram and sent out a message to her "white" followers and friends alongside a photo that said, Black Lives Matter. "I know the thought of going to a protest might be scary for some. Speaking OPENLY and HONESTLY here as always... it is scary! The news makes it look really damn scary because at times, things can get out of hand and it can get out of control," she said.

Urging her followers to go on to the streets and be a part of the peaceful protests, she added, "The news also oftentimes neglects to film the peaceful protest but love to televise the looting and the mayhem. I urge you guys to go to a protest!"

Talking about how several leaders are voicing this bold move, she went on to say, "So many incredible speakers and voices spreading the message. So many peacekeepers expressing civil unrest in a powerful way. A lot to learn from. Getting off social media and being in an energy web of people who all care about the same cause and care so much for one another."

She concluded, saying it is all right for white people to feel "uncomfortable" at the protests. "It’s ok to be white and feel uncomfortable at these protests. This whole movement should make you feel uncomfortable. That should be apart of what drives us towards change!" her tweet read.

One reader, however, was quick to post, "Now??" She replied, saying, "Now what?" And the Instagram user retorted, "Now you flip up a 'Black Lives Matter'." Many fans came to her defense. One said, "Is there a time limit?" and another wrote, "She’s been pretty vocal this whole time."

Fans can't stop showering praises on her post. Calling her queen, one said, "Yes queen I love this. There is more we can do than post. It’s important to spread awareness but even more important to DO SOMETHING," and another posted, "You have been taking the words right out of my mouth- peaceful protesting all the way .... sending hugs and healing to Cali XOX." One said, "Princess of the Resistance. You showed that yesterday. #usethatprivilege."
