During the Hot Topics segment, Whoopi Goldberg said, "So, let's talk about this because this woman went viral for shaming her date for choosing The Cheesecake Factory for dinner. She feels bad about reacting like she did, so she says, but take a look at the clip," introducing the topic to the panel.

Then a clip was played where the woman first spoke about her disappointment about the date and later apologized for her initial reaction.

After the apology was seen, Goldberg said, "Okay, that apology is part of this, but what do you think? I mean…"

Joy Behar was the first to chime in, saying, "Here's the thing. Two things, I always tell young girls, make your own money," and spoke about how the date "could be a serial killer, you don’t know who they are."

The hosts talked a little more about the woman who went viral and her date before Sunny Hostin said that she was all for The Cheesecake Factory and admitted to going there "every week."

The conversation between the hosts, apart from Goldberg, continued as they talked about first dates and places one can visit for the ideal meeting.
