What is the plot of 'Hunting Housewives'?
Imagine a season of 'Survivor' comprising the cast of the 'Real Housewives' universe; imagine the carnage and the handbags (literally and metaphorically). 'Hunting Housewives' saves you the use of your imagination by literally pitting members of Bravo's Marvel-killers against nature in all her glory, oh and a few humans in all their glory too.
When Karla Dodds, Rebel Carron-Whitman, Joli Symons and Sharell Bouvier head to a spa retreat to get rid of life's pesky lines and get away from their even more pesky spouses and children they certainly didn't expect to be in a scene from 'Alive'. After their plane crashes in a remote part of the world (for this group it may as well be Alabama) the gang finds themselves needing to use all their survival skills (read none) and the contents of their bags to stay alive. Cue much high-heeling through the undergrowth.
To make matters worse the ladies soon realize that it's not just the flora and fauna that's out to get them but something far more sinister. Can they outwit nature? Can they evade their hunters? But most importantly, can they all just get along?! You're just going to have to Watch What Happens Live! (see below for details).
'Hunting Housewives' main cast
Denise Richards
Long before Charlie Sheen, long before OnlyFans, and certainly long before the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills', Denise Richards was tipped as one of the hottest stars on screen. After early appearances in hit TV shows like 'Doogie Howser M.D.', 'Married With Children' and 'Seinfeld', Denise got her breakthrough role in 1997's cult classic 'Starship Troopers' (a movie so bad they couldn't have made it any better).
But it was 1998's 'Wild Things', opposite Neve Campbell, Matt Dillon and Kevin Bacon that saw her scorch a molten trail to superstardom. The world of James Bond naturally came calling, and in 1998 she played Dr Christmas Jones opposite Pierce Brosnan in 'The World Is Not Enough'. Stints in the Michael J Fox vehicle 'Spin City' and 'Sex, Love & Secrets' followed before the hilarious Debra appeared in the low-brow, but incredibly funny series 'Blue Mountain State'. A series of TV movies followed before she did a long stretch as Shauna Fulton in 'The Bold and the Beautiful' dovetailed with two seasons on Bravo's hit franchise 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'. Fans can see her next opposite Robert Davi and Kelsey Grammer in the series 'Paper Empire'.
Kym Johnson Herjavec
Australian ballroom dancer Kym will be well-known to fans of the hit show 'Dancing With the Stars' on which she won the 9th and 12th seasons with Donny Osmond and Hines Ward respectively. A relative newcomer to the acting sphere she has starred in 'Sharknado 4: The Fourth Awakens', 'Love Alaska' and 'The Wedding Planners'.
NeNe Leakes
A Real Housewife of Atlanta from 2008 to 2020, NeNe (real name Linnethia Monique Leakes) also starred as Rocky Rhoades in the hit TV series 'The New Normal' and 'Glee' in which she played Roz Washington. Appearances on 'First Wives Club' and 'Dynasty' followed. Apart from acting, NeNe also owns her own fashion line Nene Leakes Collection, the The Linnethia Lounge in Duluth, and the NeNe Leakes Entertainment production company.
Melyssa Ford
After featuring in music videos for the likes of Alicia Keys, Usher and R. Kelly, Melyssa got her acting breakthrough in the hit show 'Entourage'. A string of TV movies followed -- most notably 'God's Prayer' and 'The Stuff' -- before she landed a slot on the hip-hop show 'Hollywood Unlocked' with Jason Lee. After recovering from a serious accident in 2019, Melyssa has gone on to launch her own podcast 'I'm Here For The Food' and is a co-host on 'The Joe Budden Podcast'.
How do I stream 'Hunting Housewives' if I don't have cable?
Well if you don't have access to cable then your best bet is to use a live TV streaming service of which there are a gazillion ranging from the excellent but uber expensive YouTube TV to some absolute scammy dross (so you need to be very careful). The consensus seems to be that if you're looking for a live TV streaming service -- that also allows you to record your shows -- that's reliable and cheap then it's Philo which will give you both the Lifetime Network (which also has all those curtain-twitching reality shows) and LMN.
If money is no object then you can opt for the aforementioned YouTube TV or opt for DirecTV's aptly named 'Ultimate Package' which will not only give you Lifetime but also 12.8 million other channels with absolutely nothing to watch. Needless to say, you can cut through all the tape and go directly to the source and sign up for the on-demand streaming service Lifetime Movie Club.
