GEORGIA, ALABAMA: A mother is facing 700 years in prison after being convicted of raping and sodomizing her daughter and stepdaughter in 2007. On October 1, 2020, a jury convicted 41-year-old Lisa Marie Lesher of nine charges involving sexual abuse of her daughter and stepdaughter. According to police, the Carrolton, Georgia (formerly Falkville, Alabama) resident was convicted of two counts of rape in the 1st degree, four counts of sodomy in the 1st degree, one count of sodomy in the second degree, one count of sexual torture, and one count of sexual abuse in the first degree, Fox Carolina reported.

Morgan County Circuit Judge Stephen Brown presided over the trial, where testimony revealed that Lesher, along with her husband, Michael, sexually abused her daughter and stepdaughter for several years at their Falkville residence.

The case was first reported in 2007, and the delay in the prosecution is unclear. However, the case was reopened by District Attorney Scott Anderson at the request of victims soon after he entered the office. Anderson said, "this was one of the worst cases of child sexual abuse I've ever seen and once it was brought to my attention, we went to work on bringing these two monsters to justice."

The new District Attorney explained that his office had to reconstruct the entire case from the beginning because of the delay in prosecution. Last year, Lesher's husband Michael was sentenced to 438 years in prison for his participation in the abuse.

According to Fox Carolina, the case was prosecuted by DA Investigator Johnny Coker and Assistant District Attorney Courtney Schellack, who said she fully expects Lesher to receive the maximum sentence possible under the law, and that she will argue for the same during Lesher's sentencing. That said, Lesher is reportedly facing a maximum sentence of more than 700 years in prison. “Social abuse cases are among the most difficult cases to prosecute, I want to Commend the Morgan County District Attorneys for getting justice for the victims in this case," Schellack added.

Last week, a father was sentenced to 20 years in prison after he sexually abused his sister and two daughters, telling them "God made you to be my wife." According to a report by The Sun, the traumatized women were subjected to blackmail, physical and religious indoctrination in order to keep them from speaking out. The Adelaide, South Australia deviant — whose identity has not been revealed in order to protect his victims — reportedly forced his sister to watch him hack her pet guinea pig to pieces just to warn her against telling their parents about the abuse. Local media reported how he told one of his daughters that “God had made her to be like a wife" for him.

Adelaide Now reported how the 62-year-old began his depraved activities in 1978 when he was 20 and his younger sister was just five years old. The corrupt pedophile, described by a judge as “manipulative, cruel and malevolent”, admitted to repeatedly abusing his sister for seven years until 1985. On several occasions, he reportedly let his friends sexually assault her while he watched on.
