House Speaker Nancy Pelosi kicked up a storm in Washington DC on Tuesday, September 24, after she announced that the House of Representatives was launching a formal impeachment inquiry on President Donald Trump, setting off celebrations in Tinseltown.

The official impeachment investigation of Trump began after his administration was asked to hand over information about a complaint made by a certain "whistleblower" in the intelligence agencies, based on comments Trump made while speaking to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to a CBS News report.

The president admitted to making the call, stated the outlet, and asked Zelensky to look into Joe Biden's son Hunter's financial dealings in Ukraine.

Several Hollywood celebrities rejoiced after Pelosi's announcement and took to Twitter to express their elation. "Oh yes we can can can !!!#ImpeachDonaldTrumpNOW," Rosie O'Donnell wrote along with a video of her thanking Pelosi. "I never thought this day would come."

Ava DuVernay shared a gif of herself at the Emmys. "We are dressed and ready for the #ImpeachmentParty," she wrote and added, "What are you wearing?"

"I thought to myself, 'I don’t know who had a worse day, and who I should feel more sorry for, Boris or Donald?'" George Takei commented. "And then I thought, “No, I don’t feel bad for either, and I actually hope neither can sleep tonight. I plan to sleep like a baby."

"#ConaldTrump brought this on himself. The Democrats were cautious until the last straw," Bette Midler tweeted, attaching a New York Times article alongside. "He truly believes he, and he alone, is above the law. If nothing else, he is mentally unfit."

"FLAWLESS #ImpeachTrump," wrote Kathy Griffin. "It's a truly beautiful thing that #ImpeachTrump and #NationalVoterRegistrationDay are both happening on the same day. Mazel," wrote Chelsea Handler.

"We cannot let the impeachment inquiry be limited to solely the Ukraine allegations," Jon Cryer wrote. "That would essentially absolve Trump of all his other malfeasance because the prospects of getting another impeachment proceeding started after the first are minuscule."

The full unredacted conversation between President Trump and Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky was released by the White House earlier today. You can read it here.
