If you thought the drama, heartbreak, and rivalry you witnessed in episode 1 of 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' was the best this season had to offer, well, Disney+ is about to prove you wrong.

Post the premiere of episode 1 on ABC and Freeform, Disney+ released a sneak peek into what fans can expect in the forthcoming episodes, and it is filled with more plot twists and not to forget, backstabbing too. With Ricky (Joshua Bassett) taking the lead from EJ (Matt Cornett) while he tries to win back Nini (Olivia Rodrigo) after he broke up with her over the summer, things are definitely going to get a lot more theatrical as the series progresses.

In the preview, Nini who gets the role of Gabriella, says that she is not going to let Ricky ruin this for her, while EJ adds that he has already ruined it for him, especially after he just confessed his love to Nini prior to the auditions.

On the other hand, the preview showcases Nini stuck in a dilemma as her best friend questions if she still wants to be with EJ or not. Meanwhile, Gina (Sofia Wylie) a new transfer student who is all about being number 1, becomes Gabriella's understudy in the play and she is not for it. In the preview, she teases that she is going to steal the show, which makes us wonder what might be brewing.

With Nini stuck in a love triangle, Ricky and EJ deciding to go all out in competing for her, Miss. Jenn (Kate Reinders) also faces her share of issues with the school. Through all this, one thing is for sure, the series has fans hooked and we can't wait to see how the storyline progresses when the series launches on Disney+ on November 12.
