Who is Kori Sutton? Meet the 'Hell's Kitchen' Season 19 winner who now works at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant
'Hell's Kitchen' Season 19 is underway in the US and fans are excited about what's to come. Interestingly, the show aired its finale across the United Kingdom last year, and so, we know who the winner is — Kori Sutton. She eliminated stiff competition through the weeks and now works at one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants in Lake Tahoe.
Did she deserve to win? Some say "well done" while others are sitting on the fence with the final decision. Some felt Mary Lou Davis was robbed of the title.
Who is 'Hell's Kitchen' Season 19 winner Kori Sutton?
Although not much information is available online, the chef's LinkedIn profile says she was born in Newport Beach, California, and lived out in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, most of her grown-up years. Kori has over 15 years of experience behind her, which means she started early.
At 16, she completed a two-year-long apprenticeship with "International Five Star Diamond Award-Winning, Café des Artiste’s, French Bistro in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, under the Renowned Master Chef de Cuisine, Thierry Blouet," her account reads.
Before joining forces with Gordon, she was the "Culinary Face" of the Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa, again an establishment of Puerto Vallarta. While employed full time, she handled press conferences, photoshoots, interviews and VIP private dining clients. This aside, she was also responsible for drawing up concepts for the menu at the resort.
“Food should inspire all your senses and the environment should be warm and welcoming," the chef says and adds that her cooking style is largely an infusion of flavors that are realized using old school techniques that have been modernized over the years.
Meanwhile, here's what fans had to say about Kori's performance. "Just caught up on the final of @HellsKitchenFOX Season 19.
