'America's Got Talent' judge and model Heidi Klum is taking all the precautions necessary in the time of COVID-19 spreading fast in the country and many parts of the world. She recorded a video while resting in bed and shared it as an Instagram Story. She also explained that this was the reason for her absence from the popular reality show.

She said that she is "not feeling good” and has now chosen to “stay home to not infect any other people.” She also added, "It started all with a chill, feeling feverish, cough, runny nose."

She reportedly left the show's set on Tuesday after experiencing symptoms similar to what the virus causes and said she wanted to take precautions considering the coronavirus is still spreading. She also decided to stay away from the show and did not make it to Wednesday's taping as well. Instead, Eric Stonestreet served as her substitute.

She also said that as a part of being cautious she would also like to take the test for coronavirus, however, she has not been able to get it. Klum said she "hopes it’s just a cold." She also added, "I would love to do the corona test but there just isn’t one here. I’ve tried with two different doctors and I just can’t get one.”

She also told her followers to “stay home if you don’t feel good.” 'America's Got Talent' and 'Family Feud' are one of the many shows that have followed the example set by day time shows such as 'The View', 'Kelly and Ryan' where they are moving forward without a live studio audience. The news was confirmed by a production representative according to a report in People

The rep said, "Due to the ongoing global situation around COVID-19, we have been working closely with our production teams and network partners to take measures to help minimize the risk of exposure to our cast, crew and live audiences."

The statement concluded, "We will continue to closely monitor the situation and determine the appropriate time to resume the normal course of business." As deaths caused by Coronavirus has increased and the number of people testing positive for the same has grown by a huge number, such precautions have to be taken seriously.
