Did Heather Martin deserve to be eliminated from ‘The Bachelor’? Matt James made her ‘look bad’, say fans

Matt seems to have his own reservations as he’s never spent time with Heather before and keeping her on the show would mean he would sideline the others

‘The Bachelor’ Season 25 is running high on drama as the suitresses’ insecurities are surfacing with each passing episode. Until now we saw the ladies fight among themselves over Matt James. In tonight's, February 15, episode, more drama ensues in the house as former ‘The Bachelor’ fame Heather Martin makes an entry, which doesn’t serve the other suitresses well.

However, she only got a few moments to spend with Matt before being sent home and even heard a mouthful from the ladies for “ruining” everything they’ve built so far with Matt. 

Heather surprises Matt during his one-on-one with Piper. He seems taken aback by seeing her in the house but takes some time off his date to have a chat. Heather explains how she learned about Matt from her best friend Hannah, who also happens to be the latter’s good friend. She tells him she is looking forward to finding her future partner in Matt, hence she came on the show.

However, Matt seems to have his own reservations as he’s never spent time with Heather before and keeping her on the show would mean he would sideline the others who have been trying to have their shot with him since the show began. Matt decides to send Heather home without giving her a chance. 

Matt provides his justification for sending Heather home, however, viewers are of the opinion that she was made to "look bad" on the show as she invested a lot of time and energy to meet him. Furthermore, some of them didn't like how the other ladies treated Heather as they were insulting and mean to her. 

One tweeted, "not very happy with this season to be honest the way they treated heather was disgusting and the drama thus far has definitely brought out all their ugly traits #TheBachelor " Another said, "These first 18 minutes were brutal, almost hard to watch. Heather didn't deserve that, it got uncomfortable #TheBachelorABC #thebachelor."

A user wrote, "Heather after having flown across the country and quarantining just to talk to Matt for 10 minutes and be sent home #TheBachelorABC 
#thebachelor." Another tweeted, "The smiles these ladies had as Heather was walked out.... yikes #thebachelor #TheBachelorABC." Another commented, "Okay, Heather being there is a bad look, but this behavior from the other women is completely unnecessary #TheBachelor #FireChrisHarrison."

'The Bachelor' airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
