NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Following the latest developments in Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s relationship saga after the appearance on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert', ‘The View’ panel discussed the actors' relationship during Tuesday’s segment.

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg attempted to explain the situation between Jada and Will Smith with a series of clips while her other co-hosts chimed in. Joy Behar seemed a little lost but that did not stop her from weighing in on the subject.

Eventually, Behar had some advice for Will as she told the actor to “get in the ring with her”, quickly clarifying that she did not mean any more slaps.

Whoopi Goldberg introduced the topic to the rest of her co-hosts and said, “We have something interesting to tell you, so I wasn't here for most of what went on here, but the chapter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's relationship drama, which Jada continued last evening on Stephen Colbert. So take a look.”

‘The View’ played a brief clip from ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ where Jada said, “I didn't go to the Oscars necessarily as Will's wife, but when the event occurred, I knew in that moment that I wasn't going to leave his side.”

She continued, “And I knew in that moment that I didn't go to that theatre as his wife, but I was leaving as his wife, and I was going to stand by his side no matter what. And that's when I knew, I was like, I love this man.”

‘The View’ also played a clip of Stephen A Smith, who weighed in on the "relationship drama". Following that, Goldberg expressed that “people are upset”.

Joy Behar immediately asked, “What exactly has she done to him?” Goldberg responded, “I don’t know.” However, Sunny Hostin filled Behar in as she explained that Will felt “emasculated” by Jada.

As the discussion continued, Behar joked, “So, whose going to take him back first, Jada or the Oscars?”

Joy Behar says ‘don’t slap anybody’

‘The View’ shed more light on how they felt about the entire situation between Jada and Will as Joy Behar came in with some advice.

“You know, this guy played Muhammad Ali,” Behar said about Will, before adding, “Come on, get in the ring with her.”

Sara Haines, who sat next to Behar, said, “No, no don’t do that.”

Behar clarified, “Verbally…verbally…don’t slap, don’t slap anybody again, that’s out, no slapping.” She added, “But he sits there and takes it.”

In conclusion, Behar said, “You’re confusing love with masochism.”
