Harley finds herself alone on Christmas Eve with an amnesiac Joker at Wayne Tower — just before it is taken over by terrorists

Poor Harley Quinn (Kaley Cuoco) has been kicked in the teeth after a rejection from Poison Ivy (Lake Bell). Harley's left alone now as Ivy grows ever more distant, but she's not going to be kept down for long. Harley's looking for a rebound and the first person she meets happens to be none other than her memory wiped ex. That's right. It's the return of the Joker (Alan Tudyk), or at least, the cheerfully normal man that he's become. At Ivy's Bachelorette on Paradise Island, Harley was finally able to not only confess her feelings to Ivy (after the two had slept together, two nights in a row), but also ask her to leave Kite Man (Matt Oberg) and run away with her instead. Ivy, with as much gentleness as possible, laid down exactly why she could never trust Harley enough to be with her. It's a heartbreaking moment that's left Harley alone on Christmas Eve.

The next episode, 'Dye Hard', will see Harley looking for someone new to help her feel less alone as she finds herself reconnecting with the man who was once the Joker up on Wayne Tower. However, the tower gets taken over by terrorists working for an escaped Riddler, and Harley's going to have to pull out all her tricks to get out alive but with a vengeance. Will she be able to keep the man, who was once Joker, safe? And more importantly, will she be able to keep his memories from being restored in the face of all the violence? In the meanwhile, however, Jim Gordon (Chris Meloni) has his own problems, thanks to Harley. Her parademon army did not go back to Apokolips when she abandoned her supervillain plans, meaning that they've infested Gotham City and the GCPD is woefully unequipped to handle an alien invasion.

The official synopsis for the episode reads: "Fresh off Ivy rebuffing her and now alone on Christmas Eve, Harley reconnects with a now-sane Joker. With Ivy out of the picture, Harley needs a new best friend and sane Joker seems like the perfect confidant. Harley heads with sane Joker to his favorite hang out spot… Wayne Tower. Their dinner at Wayne Tower gets hijacked by an escaped Riddler as Joker's old memories start to be triggered. Meanwhile, Gordon deals with the rising ParaDemon infestation, only to end up drawn into the chaos at Wayne Tower as the pests find themselves with a mysterious new master..."

Between the parademons, the terrorists, the Joker and her own broken heart, Harley has a lot of mess to clear up but she's going to come through, guns blazing. Yippee-ki-yay, mother****er.

The next episode of 'Harley Quinn' airs June 5, on DC Universe.
