Pablo Schreiber is no stranger to action-oriented roles. His portrayal of Kris "Tanto" Paronto in Michael Bay's '13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi' saw him earn rave reviews and now with the game to TV adaptation, 'Halo' coming up on Paramount+, the Canadian actor is all set to switch to action mode again. Schreiber plays the titular character, Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, a genetically-engineered supersoldier known as Spartan-117. But if there was a wish, the 43-year-old would love to play a superhero, and he's very clear in who he wants to play.

Schreiber, in an interview with Comicbook, remarked that he'd love to play Wolverine or Daredevil. "I was a huge fan growing up of Wolverine and of Daredevil," he said. "Those are my two favorite guys and I would jump at the chance to play either one of them in a second." He also encouraged the idea of a Wolverine reboot. "And you know I think Hugh Jackman is done now with Wolverine, so maybe it's time for a reboot. Maybe it's time for a new Wolverine."

While Jackman played Logan/Wolverine in 11 Marvel films and 3 of them were standalone projects. Charlie Cox played Matt Murdock and 'Daredevil' is confirmed for a Season 4 slated to premiere in 2023. With one role taken, should Marvel decide to reboot Wolverine as a franchise and look for a new actor to bring out the adamantium claws, then Schreiber will be one of those actors throwing his hat in the ring for the role.

For now, much of the attention is on 'Halo'. The official synopsis reads, "In its adaptation for Paramount+, HALO will take place in the universe that first came to be in 2001 with the launch of Xbox®’s first “Halo” game. Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, HALO the series will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure, and a richly imagined vision of the future.

"The series stars Pablo Schreiber (“American Gods”) as the Master Chief, Spartan-117; Natascha McElhone (“Californication”) as Dr. Halsey, the brilliant, conflicted, and inscrutable creator of the Spartan super-soldiers; and Jen Taylor (“Halo” game series, RWBY) as Cortana, the most advanced AI in human history, and potentially the key to the survival of the human race. Additional stars include Bokeem Woodbine (“Fargo”), Shabana Azmi (“Fire”), Natasha Culzac (“The Witcher”), Olive Gray (“Half Moon Investigations”), Yerin Ha (“Reef Break”), Bentley Kalu (“Avengers: Age of Ultron”), Kate Kennedy (“Catastrophe”), Charlie Murphy (“Peaky Blinders”) and Danny Sapani ("Penny Dreadful").

'Halo' premieres March 24 on Paramount+
