'Halo' Episode 7: Promo hints at complete Kwan Ha chapter, fans already rate it 1/10
'Halo' picked up steam with Episodes 5 and 6, but with the promo of Episode 7 all about Kwan Ha (Yerin Ha), one of the key characters in the Paramount+ sci-fi thriller. She was last seen in Madrigal with Soren (Bokeem Woodbine), a former Spartan after the duo planned to get her home so she could reunite with the people who still served her late father. The trip goes awry and ends with her attempting to Kill Soren after he forces her to get back to the Rubble.
The latest promo is all about Kwan, and also shows Soren to be alive. Burn Gorman's Vinsher also appears to get some major screentime, and only time will tell how this storyline connects Master Chief (Pablo Schreiber) and the hunt for the second artifact. The last episode showed John and Makee's (Charlie Murphy) connection to the Halo. As far as reactions to the clip go, fans on Youtube felt this was an episode they would gladly pass.

'Halo' Episode 5 Review: Blitzkrieg chapter thrusts John and Spartans against the Covenant
"I don't think anybody wants a Kwan episode... That's why this last one was so good," one of the fans reckoned. This was seconded by another who said, "This is exactly what I was afraid of.. I knew we were gonna get a full Kwan episode after her story didn't show up at all in the last episode." Some though felt this was just enough backstory that would eventually see her become a Spartan. "For me, the only way Kwan can be written into a better character is to use her "rage" of the covenant to "blind" her into becoming a Spartan III or ODST. Sadly that arc would be much slower to build up to requiring a season 3 or 4."
"Ah so this’ll be a 1/10 episode. Thanks for letting us know," a comment said. "Listen man this show right now is a high 7/10 especially after those last two episodes. But after seeing this preview I am worried about the direction of this particular storyline. I am just confused, I don't really understand why this character needs so much focus in this show. The actress playing her is doing a wonderful job but the character itself doesn't leave any interpretation to have any meaning in the bigger scale of the main story.
The lengthy reasoning continued: "After episode 5 with what she did to Soren I just question every single one of her actions. Her motivations are there I get that, but you can't expect me to get on board with this character if she makes really bad decisions that put peoples lives at risk at every point she comes to. If this show is going to redeem her character, it needs to be now! Give me a reason to get on board with her and maybe come to an understanding of her mindset. It's also confusing since there are 3 episodes remaining this feels like a very weird time to have this episode come in. I understand this storyline is meant to signify what the world of Halo is like when not focusing on what we are used to but at the same time you haven't given me a reason to go along with it and like the characters. Soren is a cool, funny and dope character but I just can't get on board with Kwan."
'Halo' Episode 7 releases Thursday on Paramount+.
