'Halo 3' is out on PC after 13 years, excited gamers call it one of the best console FPS games ever
Christmas came early for fans of popular video game 'Halo'. After a wait of 13 long years, 'Halo' fans finally got an update for their favorite video game. Game developer 343 Industries had announced that the fourth installment of the popular video game was set to release on July 14 at 10 am PST/1 PM EST, but the update went live over half a day earlier.
Several excited gamers were over the moon when they realized that the update for 'Halo 3' was out earlier than announced. Many of them took to Twitter to express their excitement over the early release. A fan tweeted, "Halo 3 is officially out on PC... One of the greatest console FPS games ever. Go play it and enjoy." Another fan wrote, "Halo 3 legit got me through tough times growing up man. Back then people talked s**t about video games but that joint kept me off the streets and at home safe where I needed to be. If I ever have kids, I will never judge them for it like my parents did to me."
"Halo 3 is really on PC now, I genuinely can't believe we have made it this far... Firm handshakes for all," said a fan. Another fan wrote, "Halo 3 on PC. After more than a decade. Thank you 343i and everyone else on the @Halo team. LET’S GOOO." Another joked, "Halo 3 is officially on PC. There are those who said this day would never come. What have they to say now?"
The new update has several new exciting features and additions that are sure to put a smile on gamers' faces. Some of these additions include a challenge system, which rewards players for completing a challenge on the game, there are many new weapons available for the player to use apart from brand new vehicle skins that can be used in Halo: Combat Evolved, and Halo: Reach.
Halo 3 is available for download on Steam or the Windows 10 store for $10. One can also pick the entire Master Chief Collection and get all four installments of Halo for $40.
