‘Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta’ is returning for the fourth season. The series first aired on May 25, 2017. Here’s everything you need to know about the new season.

Release date

The fourth season of WeTV's hit series ‘Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta’ will be aired on Thursday, January 7 at 9 pm ET/PT. The reality TV series was renewed for a new season with 10 episodes on September 29, 2020.

The series chronicles the lives of children of hip-hop legends in Atlanta. In this season, we will see things shaking up between the cast members as they tackle politics, rivalries and grudges amid the pandemic. According to the website Broadway World, we will see the show’s main lead rapper Bow Wow facing his past when a mystery woman leaks a shocking secret. The show will also throw light on Da Brat's love story along with other main characters like rapper Waka Flocka Fame and Ayana Fite.

Cast

As seen in the previous seasons, the fourth season will also bring an extensive cast. However, OG characters like Bow Wow, Waka Flocka Flame, Shaniah Mauldin and Ayana Fite will remain the main focus of the show. ‘Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta’ also features Reginae Carter, Da Brat, Brandon Barnes and Tammy Rivera among a few others.

Bow Wow

Bow Wow’s real name is Shad Moss and he dropped his first album ‘Beware of Dog’ in 2000 as Lil’ Bow Wow at the age of 13 under the guidance of Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri. He has released five other studio albums since his debut.

Shaniah Mauldin

She is the daughter of the acclaimed rapper, singer and music producer Jermaine Dupri. She is surely one of the favorites on the show as she gets a lot of attention from the viewers.

Ayana Fite

Ayana Fite is the daughter of DJ Hurricane and runs her own clothing line. She opened her own brand Cozy Closet after getting years of experience in retail but ultimately dropped the idea of taking her business further. She usually becomes the talk of the town on the show due to stories revolving around her and her girlfriend Amy.

Waka Flocka Flame

Waka Flocka Flame is arguably the most popular face on the show. The 34-year-old rapper is known for his hit singles ‘O Let's Do It,’ ‘Hard in da Paint,’ and ‘No Hands’ featuring Roscoe Dash and Wale.

According to the website Broadway World, ‘Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta’ is executively produced by Tara Long, Mark Herwick and Gennifer Gardiner for Entertainment One (eOne) along with Datari Turner for Datari Turner Productions, Meredith Kisgen, Shad Moss, Debra Antney and Shawntae Harris. The show is co-produced by Datari Turner Productions. Lauren Gellert and Kari McFarland serve as the executive producers for WeTV.
