Dream pop star Grimes took to her social media on Tuesday, September 22, to announce a new chat with fans soon. In the new chat, fans will get a chance to experience a virtual up-close-and-personal with the 32-year-old 'We Appreciate Power' singer.

The initiative by the artiste aims to encourage citizens to vote for the upcoming United States Presidential election set for November 3, 2020. In her new post on Instagram, Grimes revealed that she has partnered with the voting app Outvote in presenting the chat. "I’m teaming up w outvote.io," she began in her caption alongside a new photo. "Check ur voter registration for a chance to chat! I guess by zoom or whatever works best for u. Hey," the singer added. In her fantasy-inspired photo, Grimes is seen showing off her hand tattoos in Elvish-font and wearing rather curious make-up. Fans were quick to share their excitement for the upcoming chat and were also taken aback by her photo. "You’ve changed," said a fan while another wrote, "You’re such an ethereal being." One fan said, "Grimes looking more and more like a final boss with the amount of tattoos she has." Another fan exclaimed: "Holy mother of X Æ A-Xii 💓💓💓," referring to Grimes' son with her boyfriend, Elon Musk.

For those who don't know what Outvote is exactly, the special voting app allows you to "Follow your favorite progressive organizations and causes and get updates on simple ways to help", according to the description on Google Play Store. "Amplify the national discussion on important issues, mobilize for policy fights, or help get your favorite candidates elected. Outvote empowers you to make an impact both online and offline." The app, which is backed by YCombinator and Higher Ground Labs, was founded in 2017 as a get out the vote tool for Democrats. They have since expanded to become a distributed organizing platform for citizens across the US to make an impact for the causes and candidates they care about. According to the Y Combinator website, during the 2018 midterms, Outvote aided in building the biggest midterm turnout in over 100 years. The app's users contacted over 1 million voters to get out the vote. In 2020, Outvote will be working with Planned Parenthood nationwide and 100+ of their affiliates, the DCCC in all their supported congressional campaigns, multiple presidential primary candidates, Greenpeace on climate change reform, and more.
