'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16 Finale: Amelia Shepherd has a baby boy with Link, emotional fans say 'name him Derek'
From brain tumor to losing her brother and then separating from her husband, Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) has not had it easy. Yet, the good news is that the tide has turned in her favor (we can only hope) as she has found love in Dr Atticus Link (Chris Carmack). In the finale of 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16, Amelia delivers a baby boy and for now, it seems like a happy family. At least someone should get a shred of joy on that show because no one else is. This fairytale romance with Link had its own hiccups over the season, as there was a slight doubt whether Link was the father of the child or not. But turns out he is, so cheers to that.
It has been a while that Amelia has looked this happy. Fans are thrilled for her and have expressed happiness on Twitter.
"Every single moment of the episode amelia was so happy that she only can smile and i am so grateful that she already have the happiness that she deserves, " a fan wrote.
Some fans wonder whether Amelia will name her son after her brother Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey). "Ok so the #GreysAnatomyFinale left me wondering...is Amelia is gonna name her baby Derek?...is Owen gonna leave Grey Sloan cuz of Teddy and is he gonna go work with Christina? Is Winston gonna transfer hospitals to be with Maggie? these are just a few thoughts," tweeted a fan.
