'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16: Miranda Bailey is pregnant and fans can't believe the writers have 'another surprise pregnancy' on the show

The plot of 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 16 seems to be slipping away from the makers' hands as they seem to be using the same old formulas and storylines. In the fourth episode titled 'It's Rainin' Men', there was a big shocker at the end when Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) broke it to Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) that she was pregnant!

After Meredith Grey's controversial article, her anxiety rose up to the level that she thought she had a heart attack scare, only that it was just a scare. Bailey worried it was her "menopause" kicking in but soon finds out she may be having a baby. "You are both perimenopausal and pregnant. Please tell me you don't plan to keep this a secret," Maggie tells Bailey as she blankly looks back at the end of the episode.

The new development should have come as a huge twist but hearing about another pregnancy news after Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) and Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) in the series makes it simply boring and dull.

Fans are not pleased with the news and have been poking fun at the lack of creativity in the writers' room. One tweet read, "Writer’s room: what drama do we introduce to spice up the new season? Krista: We give Amelia a baby WR: we already gave Teddy a baby Krista: And now we give Amelia a baby WR: okay, got it. But we still need something else, Krista:.... We give Bailey a baby?" and another post said, "Bailey is pregnant!! Grey's is handing out pregnancies like it's money #GreysAnatomy."

One fan even wondered how despite being doctors, they couldn't find out they were pregnant. "Bailey is pregnant, Amelia is Pregnant, Teddy just had a baby, etc...like-??? YALL ARE DOCTORS! Why are there so many surprise pregnancies? If it's not brain tumors, then it is heart attacks or pregnancy lately," one tweet read. Another fan wrote, "Had there ever been a single baby conceived on @GreysABC that wasn't a surprise? These people are all PHYSICIANS. Have they never heard about how babies are made?! #GreysAnatomy."

Many fans are also irked with her attitude and how she has been rude to Meredith. "I hope Bailey go stay home until she has this baby. I need a break from her. That attitude has been super ugly. #GreysAnatomy, one of them posted. As episode five airs next Thursday, October 24, it might show what happens to the new pregnancy storyline.
