‘Good Trouble’ Season 2B Episode 11: Callie is content with her new life but Mariana finds it unsettling
Very recently, Freeform’s 'Good Trouble' presented us with a holiday special, which ran high on emotions, as always. While 'Nochebuena' witnessed a couple of bitter-sweet moments, it ended on a satisfying note, rekindling relationships we hoped for.
Season 2B of ‘Good Trouble’ returned with Episode 11 on Thursday, January 16, picking up where it left off last year. The latest episode sees the relationship between Callie and Mariana turn rockier as the former decides to move out of Coterie and in with her boyfriend Jamie.
While Callie establishes that she needs her space, Mariana feels her sister abandoned her at the worst possible moment. As if Mariana didn’t have enough on her plate to deal with, she’s bogged down when she gets kicked out of her brainchild app at work.
Although the sisters feel maintaining a distance would help them figure their lives more efficiently, despite Mariana’s constant cribbing, it is touching to watch them always turn to each other when life hits them hard.
While Mariana is worried about getting fired for exposing her male colleagues’ salary to save Angela, in the pretext of gender inequality, Callie is devastated by Judge Wilson’s son’s demise. However, when tragedy befalls her, Mariana is the first person on her mind to count on.
The episode also sees how Callie, initially reluctant to even express her love for Jamie, is convinced with the idea of moving in ‘permanently’ despite Mariana warning her against a serious commitment.
Even the slightest of doubt on Callie’s mind regarding her next big step in the relationship is wiped out when Jamie invites Jude to their place to comfort his grieve-stricken girlfriend.
Callie and Mariana always navigated their new life together. Also, Callie had grown to become very dear to the Coterie family. But, now that Callie has chosen what she feels is good for her, Mariana is all on her own.
Will the distance between the Foster sisters bring them closer to one another or drift them apart further? We need to wait until the next episode to see what new drama will unfold in their kinship.
