NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ star Michael Strahan recently shot back at a few members of the crowd on-air as they tried to boo him for offering his honest opinion about the NFL side Philadelphia Eagles.

The former NFL star joined his Fox Sports colleague for a special edition of NFL on Sunday, November 26, from the streets of Manhattan.

The incident transpired as Strahan was asked about the Eagles matchup on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

As soon as he finished, the crowd in the background booed him in unison, forcing the ‘GMA’ host to respond with, “We're in New York, you're not supposed to like the Eagles, huh?! Just sayin.’”

The former New York Giants star detailed about how Philadelphia "haven't played their best football" in 2023, despite being 9-1.

The ‘GMA’ host said, “They're being led by the offense which is unusual to what we've seen in the past."

He continued, "De'Andre Swift has added a new dimension to that offense alongside A.J. Brown. Defensively they're kinda of middle of the road. Last week they got their five defensive backs and shut out Kansas City.”

He added, "For Philadelphia, they have a tough schedule as well, the game against Buffalo isn't a cakewalk. On top of that, they still have San Francisco. They still have Dallas.”

Strahan further said, “For Philly, we all say they haven't played their best football but continue to win.”

He continued, "Once they put it all together and hopefully with all the injuries that are no longer in their defensive backfield, their defense will be where it was before.”

As soon as he finished, Strahan was greeted with massive boos from the crowd behind him who were watching the show live.

Strahan turned around to face the crowd, laughing, and said, "We're in New York, you're not supposed to like the Eagles, huh?! Just sayin.’”

It was unclear if the source of the booing was Eagles fans unhappy at Strahan suggesting their team "hadn't played their best football", or Giants fans jeering Strahan for being complimentary about their rivals.

The pair struck up a friendship during Strahan's rookie year with the New York Giants.

Glazer recently dropped a throwback snap of him and Strahan in 1993.

He wished Strahan on his birthday and shared a massive throwback picture to celebrate their journey together.

Glazer sported a familiar goatee in the picture, but also a shock of jet-black hair while Strahan looked healthier than now.
