'Glow' season 3: Will we see an evolved, non-toxic Sam when the Netflix show returns?
One of Netflix’s most popular shows, ‘Glow,’ is set to return with a brand new season on Thursday, August 8, and there is so much we are looking forward to. The gorgeous ladies are now Las Vegas residents and we are excited to see how the Sin City is going to impact them. Will they get sucked into the world of gambling and drugs? Will they become the best group of wrestlers in America? It remains to be seen.
Among the things that excite us about the upcoming season is Sam (Marc Maron) and how he deals with the new settings. Never succeeding in anything has been the running theme in his life, but GLOW having secured a spot in Las Vegas is a huge deal and we wonder if the taste of success will lessen the intensity of his self-hate.
He has expressed an interest in Ruth (Alison Brie), who is a straight shooter. He knows that being the way he is, he will never be good enough for Ruth, and would that be an inspiration to do better? Will he start writing more scripts now that he knows that not everything he touches goes rotten? Ruth is definitely a cheerleader in his life, and she could be the right person to push him towards success.
We also know that he is trying to be a better father. Last season we saw how he put his selfishness aside and asked Justine (Britt Baron) to stay with her mother and focus on her studies. He wants to be the kind of person who Justine will be proud of. Even though we know that she is not in Las Vegas, she is among the cast members of season 3, meaning they will meet. Whether it is him visiting Justine at home or she visiting him in Vegas, he surely wants to do things that would make her think highly of him.
Sam has had his shining moments in the past, but he has never been consistently a good guy. In fact, he has been downright mean at certain points. We definitely believe that season 3 may offer him the opportunity to do better.
