Ghislaine Maxwell will take literacy test for a $1.24 per-hour job in Florida prison
TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA: The disgraced former socialite, Ghislaine Maxwell who is currently employed by the prison's law library is lining up for a call center job. If qualified, she will get an increase in pay at an anticipated rate of $1.24 per hour.
If she gets the job then with this raise, which is three times her current pay, she can pay off the ordered $750,000 fine which was given along with her 20-year sentence. The 61-year-old Oxford-educated has lined up for the exam and will have a literacy test to see if she has the skills to work in a US prison call center, Mirror reported.

The convicted sex trafficker as a call center employee will be selling internet, television, and phone services to customers for a telecommunications giant. Maxwell is detained at Florida's FCI Tallahassee Female Prison, where the company subcontracts some of its call center work.
She will need to work a lot of hours to pay the fine, even though the salary is three times more than her current pay in the prison law library. However, prison insiders are making jokes about her likely new role. “Many of the girls work in the call center. Customers would never know they are talking to a drug dealer, armed robber, killer, or in Ghislaine’s case, a sex trafficker," a prison insider quipped to the outlet.
They added, “The girls have been joking if she does move jobs, callers will think they’ve called Buckingham Palace with her posh accent." On the brighter side, they say, “Being on the phones allows the girls contact with the outside world. Some find it a lifeline.”
In December 2021, Maxwell was found guilty of sex-trafficking minors, conspiracy to entice a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, and conspiracy to transport a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity for her late, pedophile ex-boyfriend, Jeffrey Epstein.
It is also being said apart from these roles, she is working hard toward her attempts to appeal her guilty conviction and sentencing. As per Radar Online, she recently snagged Harvey Weinstein's former attorney Arthur L Aidala to help overturn her sentence.
Apart from that as previously reported by MEAWW, Maxwell also hosts etiquette classes at her Florida prison to preach about women's empowerment and the need to "maintain high moral standards."
