'General Hospital' celebrates Maurice Benard's 25th year as Sonny in a very special episode

One of the joys of being a fan of soap operas is truly getting to enjoy the growth and journey of the characters that you love. For ‘General Hospital’ viewers specifically, it has been a real treat to watch Maurice Benard’s portrayal of Sonny Corinthos on ABC. In fact, it has been 25 years since he took on the role.  

The showrunners were sure to acknowledge this monumental occasion with a special episode to treat their fans and Maurice alike. The celebrations started off with an amazing promo that showed photos of Sonny through the years.
