DWTS Season 35 Eliminations: A Look At All the Contestants Who Have Gone Home So Far

This season, Conner Leavitt, husband of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt, was among the 16 celebrities cast on DWTS. He was partnered with Adele Zaikman, who won DWTS: The Next Pro. But, his journey was cut short when he was eliminated on the very first episode. On night one of the premiere on September 15, Conner Leavitt and partner Adele Zaikman performed a salsa to Whoomp! (There It Is) by Tag Team. Derek Hough gave his feedback after their routine, saying, “It was goofy, playful, it was a whole lot of fun,” but added, “I just didn’t get enough salsa really.” Leavitt and Zaikman received a score of 12 out of 30, with each judge giving them a 4.

Sarah Jane Nader, famous for starring in Love Thy Nader, and pro partner Hailey Bills exited the competition on night two of the premiere on September 16. The pair performed a jive to Sk8er Boi by Avril Lavigne, and simply put, the panel was not very impressed. Carrie Ann Inaba bluntly said, “You were out of sync most of the dance, unfortunately.” Derek Hough also agreed with the out-of-sync comment and added, “For me, it took way too long to get into the dance. I wanted more content.” Jane Nader and Bills ultimately received a score of 15 out of 30.

Emmy Award-winning chef and restaurateur Giada De Laurentiis and pro partner Alan Bersten are the latest pair to see their DWTS journey come to an end. On Week 2 of the competition, September 22, the duo performed a salsa to Bella Ciao by Becky G for Viral Hits Night. But, their routine failed to impress the judges. Derek Hough pointed out “a few missteps,” while Bruno Tonioli described it as a “salsa without spice.” When it was Carrie Ann Inaba’s turn to give her feedback, she summed up the performance in one word: “Shaky.” De Laurentiis and Bersten received just 12 out of 30 points.

Now that we know which celebrities and their partners are no longer in the running, the question is: who is still competing? With three pairs already out, 13 duos remain in the competition. They are Julia Stiles and partner Ezra Sosa, Jenna Dewan and partner Val Chmerkovskiy, Tatyana Ali and partner Jan Ravnik, Taylor Hanson and partner Britt Stewart, Ezra Frech and partner Daniella Karagach, Amber Glenn and partner Pasha Pashkov, Connor Wood and partner Rylee Arnold, Tyler Cameron and partner Sharna Burgess, Harry Shum Jr. and partner Jenna Johnson, Guillermo Rodriguez and partner Witney Carson, Maura Higgins and partner Mark Ballas, Ciara Miller and partner Brandon Armstrong, and Jackson Olson and partner Emma Slater. But, they are not safe for long. The next episode airs on September 29, when another celebrity will bid farewell to DWTS.
