Happy’s Place Season 3: Meet the Returning Cast and Guest Stars Joining the NBC Sitcom

Can Happy’s Place go on without Reba McEntire? Not at all! NBC has confirmed that she is reprising her role as Bobbie in Season 3. Bobbie co-owns a bar in Knoxville, Tennessee, which she inherits after her father’s death. But there’s a twist. As NBC explains, “she inherits not just her late father's bar, but also learns she has a half-sister named Isabella she never knew existed.” Bobbie is “the glue that keeps the Happy’s Place tavern staff so tight.”

Rex Linn is confirmed to return as Emmett, “the bar's resident chef who's had a rollercoaster relationship with Bobbie.” But, their romance ended on a bittersweet note in the Season 2 finale. NBC notes, “Although Bobbie was ready to give their relationship another shot, Season 2 ended with Emmett and Bobbie deciding to still stay broken up, which opens up further romantic possibilities for both of them.” And the Season 3 trailer absolutely shows those possibilities, as we see James Denton, who is guest-starring as JB, ask Bobbie out on a date, with her grinning in response.

Belissa Escobedo is also returning as Isabella, Bobbie’s half-sister and co-owner of the Knoxville tavern. Over the first two seasons, the sisters have grown closer as they’ve gotten to know each other while managing the tavern together. In a recent interview with HOLA!, Escobedo revealed whether she and Isabella are alike. She shared, “I'd say Isabella and I are pretty different as people, which is fun as an actor, to play a character that's so different from me. I'd say a similarity is her seeking out joy a lot. That's something that I like to do in my life, and trying new things.”
