Ganesh's Dr. Samira Mohan is one of the major characters not returning for the third season. Per reports, the move to write out the character comes as a story-driven decision, and focuses on the reality of how residents move on from training hospitals. The senior resident at the center will be sorely missed after becoming a fan-favorite in the two seasons. Ganesh departs the show after two seasons.
