Silo Season 3: Meet All the New Characters Joining Apple TV+'s Drama, Including Downton Abbey Star
Ashley Zukerman
Succession star Ashley Zukerman joins Silo Season 3 as Daniel Keene, who book readers know as Donald. He's described as a “young and hungry” freshman congressman representing Georgia's 15th district. His story begins at the end of Season 2 during a date with journalist Helen, who presses him about a suspected government cover-up. Daniel avoids answering, walks away, but leaves behind a curious gift: a yellow duck PEZ dispenser, the very same one previously given to Juliette in Season 1.
Jessica Henwick
Jessica Henwick is known for The Gray Man, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, and How To Make a Killing. She stars in Season 3 as Helen Drew, a key figure in the show's “before times” storyline. Helen's introduced as “a whip-smart reporter” working for a Washington, D.C., publication. While her date with Daniel Keene ended awkwardly in the Season 2 finale, that's only the beginning of her story. According to Apple TV's official press release, Helen and Daniel will eventually team up to uncover a big government conspiracy related to the creation of the silos.
Jessica Brown Findlay
Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay portrays Charlotte Keene. She plays Daniel's sister, a United States military pilot whose involvement in the Dirty Strike ends in disaster, leaving her with a traumatic brain injury. In Hugh Howey's novels, Charlotte is one of the key figures in the story's past timeline.
Laura Innes
One of the biggest changes from the books comes with Laura Innes' character. The ER veteran plays U.S. Senator Thurman, who leads the secretive Iran Committee that Daniel hopes to join in his search for answers. She's also strongly linked to the origins of the silo project. In Hugh Howey's novels, Thurman is a man named Paul Thurman, but the series changes the character into a woman. Explaining the decision, creator Graham Yost told TheWrap in 2025, “We wanted to make more out of their relationship than was really in the book, so we’ve also gender-swapped Thurman.”
Morven Christie
Another fresh face arriving in Silo is Morven Christie. Apple TV+ had not officially announced her role, but her résumé already revealed that she plays Anna Thurman. In Hugh Howey's novels, Anna is Donald's, renamed Daniel in the TV series, girlfriend and the daughter of Senator Thurman. That makes her an important part of the show's storyline.
Reed Birney
Reed Birney joins Silo Season 3 as Erskine, a member of the highly classified CAD-FAC project. Apple TV+ kept the rest of his role under wraps, so viewers will have to keep watching the show to learn more about his character. Birney is best known for Lost Girls, The Menu, and Changeling.
Matt Craven
Matt Craven is stepping into the world of Silo as Victor. Known for White House Down and Sharp Objects, Craven joins Silo Season 3 as another member of the classified CAD-FAC project. Beyond that, Apple TV+ stayed quiet, although first-look images paired Victor with Erskine, revealing the two characters are connected.
Colin Hanks
Colin Hanks' character could shake things up in Silo Season 3. The actor appears in a recurring role as Per Stensen, the world's richest man in the show's past timeline. In the Season 3 trailer, he delivers a chilling warning to Daniel: “The end of the world cannot be stopped. It can only be survived.”
