Paramount+ Renews 4 Popular Shows, Including Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas and Zatima

The Family Business has scored a renewal at Paramount+. The crime drama from Carl Weber has been confirmed to return for Season 7, which will consist of 10 episodes. Based on Weber’s book series, the show follows “the Duncans, a seemingly upstanding family running an exotic car dealership in New York -- but they're living a dangerous double life.” No logline or release window has been announced for the upcoming installment yet.

The Black Hamptons, another Carl Weber show based on one of his novels, has also been picked up for Season 3. The episode count is the same as The Family Business, with 10 episodes ordered. Meanwhile, the series is “set in the quaint town of Sag Harbor” and follows “the brewing feud between the Brittons and Johnsons where the difference between old money and new money is very apparent.”

Paramount+ has ordered another instalment of Divorced Sistas too. The Tyler Perry show follows “five friends — Rasheda, Geneva, Naomi, Tiffany, and Bridgette” who are “all battling life and relationship woes at some stage of divorce, marriage, and dating...but it’s the battle within their circle that tests their true character and love for one another.” No release date has been confirmed for Season 3 yet, but at least we know it will have 16 episodes in total. The premiere window for Season 2 also remains unknown.

Tyler Perry’s Zatima is getting another season as well. The series will return for Season 6 with 16 episodes. Zatima revolves around “popular ‘Sistas’ characters Zac (Devale Ellis) and Fatima (Crystal Renee Hayslett) as they navigate the ups and downs of their relationship.” The release date for Season 5 hasn’t even been announced yet, let alone Season 6, so fans may need to exercise some patience.
