Neagley Cast Guide: Meet All the Characters From Prime Video’s New Reacher Spinoff

Maria Sten takes on the lead role of Frances Neagley, a private investigator who tolerates no nonsense. As per the official logline, “When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell-bent on justice. Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.” Sten is no stranger to the Reacher universe, having appeared in the main series as Neagley. She has also been part of several other projects, including Channel Zero and Swamp Thing.

Alan Ritchson needs no introduction. But, as our manners dictate, we have to let you know that Ritchson reprises his role as Jack Reacher in Neagley. However, don’t expect too much screen time from him, because he has his own bad guys to punch in his own show. Speaking of Reacher, the series was renewed for Season 5 ahead of its fourth-season premiere. Meanwhile, Ritchson is widely recognized for his roles in Playdate, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Runner, War Machine, Motor City, Fast X, among several other projects.

Greyston Holt stars as Detective Hudson Riley, who is described as the black sheep of his family, which is full of criminals. During an interview with The AU Review, Holt opened up about how Riley and Neagley are able to investigate together despite coming from very different backgrounds. He explained, “They come from very different places, but most, if not all, of our respective issues come from, in my case, a broken family, a family of crime, and in her case, a complicated situation with her father. So, yeah, it allows us to see vulnerability in one another. That’s an aspect of Neagley that I’m able to see, and I think the fact that I’m able to see her for who she is underneath this very tough exterior, and vice versa, is part of the reason that we’re able to break down our walls and form a bond together.” Fans may recognize Holt from A Very Country Wedding, Lou, Just in Time, and Bonds Will Be Broken.

In Neagley, Jasper Jones is cast as Keno, an orphaned street kid with a history of arrests for petty crimes who has been through both the foster care and juvenile detention systems. Neagley believes Keno’s troubled past could hold the key to solving the mystery surrounding her friend’s death. Jones’ notable credits include King Ivory, Bleeding, Burleson, and To Die For.

Adeline Rudolph steps into the role of Renée Birdwhistle, an administrative assistant who dreams of becoming a private investigator. In an interview with The AU Review, Rudolph explained her character’s motivation without spilling too much. She stated, “I think for Renee, there’s less of this idea of her trying to prove herself. I think, off the bat, it’s very clear that she and Neagley don’t really get along as people. They’re both lone wolves. They both like to do their own thing. A lot of Renee’s motivation actually comes from an ulterior motive, right? She has a purpose for being in Chicago, in the States. So, if anything, more so than having to justify or prove her past, I actually think she has this tunnel vision and this goal of learning as much as she can from Neagley in terms of her skill set in order to – I’m trying not to spoil anything – figure out how to find answers for the thing she’s trying to do.” Rudolph may be familiar to fans from Mortal Kombat II, Do Not Enter, Hellboy: The Crooked Man, Resident Evil, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Matthew Del Negro joins Neagley in the antagonist role of Pierce Woodrow. The founder and head of Invection Pharmaceuticals, Woodrow is behind a dangerous medical conspiracy. Del Negro has become known for his roles in Free Bert, Mayor of Kingstown, The West Wing, Teen Wolf, Long Bright River, and Scandal, among other projects.
