NBC Announces 4 New Shows After Canceling 9, and One Is Starring a Real-Life Couple Téa Leoni and Tim Daly

Line of Fire stars Peter Krause and Hope Davis as members of the Hollingsworth family, a household connected to law enforcement. After the death of a U.S. Marshal pulls them into a dangerous conspiracy, they must rely on their skills and experience to protect one another while searching for answers. Taylor Bloom and Tommy O’Brien also star as adult Hollingsworth brothers Russ and Mike Jr. The drama is set to air Monday nights on NBC this fall.

Newlyweds is a new comedy set for Friday nights on NBC this fall. Starring real-life couple Téa Leoni and Tim Daly alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, the series follows an easygoing woman and a reserved professor who jump into marriage after a fast-moving romance. Their unexpected union leads to plenty of laughs as they adjust to life together later in life.

Sunset P.I. will join NBC’s spring 2027 lineup as a workplace comedy about the lives and cases of private investigators. Created by Brooklyn Nine-Nine producers Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici, the series follows a team of Los Angeles detectives tackling cases while dealing with their own office antics. The cast includes Jake Johnson, Jane Levy, Langston Kerman, Mary Shalaby, and Keith David.

NBC’s The Rockford Files reboot arrives in January 2027, reimagining the classic 1970s detective drama for a new audience. David Boreanaz leads the series as private investigator Jim Rockford, a former convict who uses his street smarts and unique connections to crack cases. The cast also features Emmy-winning Australian actress Jacki Weaver.
