Furious Cast: Meet All the Major Stars of Hulu’s Crime Drama as the Show Gets Renewed for Season 2

Emmy Rossum leads the show as Alice Black, a “former NYPD homicide detective, now navigating the bottom rung of the FBI as a probationary duty agent.” In Furious, she is on the “hunt for a mysterious and calculating female serial killer.” Rossum may be familiar to audiences for her roles in Shameless, The Phantom of the Opera, The Day After Tomorrow, Dragonball Evolution, The Crowded Room, Beautiful Creatures, Mystic River, and other projects.

Lola Petticrew takes on the role of serial killer Catherine Grace, who “operates entirely through manufactured intimacy.” Her character is described as “calm, chameleonic, and terrifyingly deliberate.” As her life “starts to intertwine” with Alice Black, “the line between right and wrong begins to blur.” Petticrew’s notable credits include Say Nothing, Trespasses, Tuesday, Dating Amber, Bloodlands, A Bump Along the Way, Anne Boleyn, and Three Families.

Quincy Tyler Bernstine portrays Nora Washington, a “veteran FBI agent with 20+ years of experience, who’s tough as nails and often the smartest person in the room.” During Bernstine’s chat with Interview Magazine, she revealed why she said yes to the role of Nora: “When I read the audition material and saw this character, I was blown away just from these few pages. I had never seen a character like that in a script. She was so singular and fascinating and nuanced and funny and tough.” Meanwhile, Bernstine has earned recognition for her roles in Rachel Getting Married, Manchester by the Sea, Modern Love, Still Alice, and Power.

Scoot McNairy is cast as Danny Kelly, an NYPD homicide detective and the former partner and friend of Alice Black. Kelly is “world-weary and deeply loyal in a way he'd never say out loud.” In his interview with TechRadar, McNairy shared what he thinks about the Hulu series: “I think that fans are watching Furious to decompress. I think that's why we watch such violent things that are so far out of our world... it's for escapism, to believe the unbelievable,” adding, “When you see something that feels stranger than fiction, but it's real, I think that that is the lure to the show.” Viewers may recognize McNairy from Speak No Evil, Killing Them Softly, Monsters, Halt and Catch Fire, Non-Stop, Godless, Man on Fire, Argo, Batman vs Superman, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Rob Yang stars as Frank Choi, Alice Black’s new partner at the FBI. While talking with JoySauce, Yang admitted that Choi is “pretty ambitious” and explained, “I look at him as: How did he find himself in this department? There’s this new addition to the team, and this happens to be a big case, and so it’s sort of stepping on my toes a little bit internally. But Nora is the one who sent me off to see it.” He also noted, “I like that for this Frank Choi character because it says a lot about maybe the way he came up in the department or dealing with people—that he also has to make sure that he’s seen in the correct light.” Some of Yang’s most recognizable roles include She Rides Shotgun, Rabbit Hole, Succession, American Rust, The Beauty, and The Resident.

And then we have Jake Lacy, who brings Marshall Connelly to life. Connelly is a “charismatic officer with a deep, complex past connection to Alice.” According to Deadline, he “grew up with Alice, with whom he had a deep love and connection. Sober and motivated to get his life back on track, Marshall can’t quite let go of his past with Alice.” As for Lacy, some of his best-known credits include All Her Fault, Apples Never Fall, Significant Other, Johnny English 3, How to Be Single, The White Lotus, Rampage, and Christmas Inheritance.
