Elle Season 2: All the Major Stars Returning and Leaving as Never Have I Ever Alum Joins Legally Blonde Prequel
Lexi Minetree
Lexi Minetree is pretty much the easiest return to predict for Elle Season 2. After all, the show simply can't exist without Elle Woods. The Prime Video prequel follows her high school years, and Season 1 left her with plenty of unfinished business. The finale dropped her right into a love triangle involving Dustin and Miles, leaving fans wondering who she'll choose and what that decision means for her future. With that storyline still wide open, expect Minetree to be back leading the next chapter.
June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott
June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott are also expected to return as Elle’s parents, Eva and Wyatt Woods. They’re series regulars, so it would be a real shock if they didn’t come back. Since the story revolves around Elle’s teenage years, her parents remain a big part of her life and the show’s main cast. There’s another clue too. In June, Just Jared spotted Raphael filming new episodes in Uptown Manhattan, New York, making her Season 2 return look all but certain.
Chandler Kinney
Chandler Kinney is another cast member fans can safely expect to see in Elle Season 2. As Kimberly, she begins the series as Elle’s rival, but the season gradually shows there’s much more to her than first meets the eye. The finale also gave Kimberly a sweet moment when she reunited with Liz (Gabrielle Policano) and shared a kiss backstage at the Winter Informal. Now that the romance is back on track, Season 2 could finally reveal whether they'll make their relationship official.
Gabrielle Policano
Gabrielle Policano also looks set to return as Liz, one of Elle’s first friends after moving to Seattle. The Season 1 finale reunited Liz with Kimberly, with the pair sharing a kiss that hinted their romance is far from over. Since there's still plenty to explore with that relationship, it would be no surprise to see Policano back for Season 2 to continue the story.
Danielle Chand
Danielle Chand's return as Shannon is still up in the air. Shannon was the popular girl Elle admired when she first arrived at her new school. While most of the students brush Elle off or make fun of her, Shannon is the only one who welcomed her with kindness. Although Shannon left Seattle at the end of Season 1, Chand hasn’t ruled out coming back. Speaking to Us Weekly, she said, “I've made story lines in my head,” adding, “If there's a graduation or like something that involves Kimberly, I would love Shannon just to keep popping in.” For now, though, fans will have to wait for Prime Video to make it official.
Maitreyi Ramakrishnan
Looks like Season 2 is bringing new trouble for Elle Woods! Never Have I Ever star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan has officially joined the recurring cast as Sam, a student who’s basically Elle’s complete opposite. The character is described as “Elle’s foil – possessing all our hero’s ambition and none of her optimism. She’s the founder, editor-in-chief, and lord baron of the school newspaper, the commissioner of the grammar police, and the enemy of joy. If Cosmo is Elle’s bible, The AP Stylebook is Sam’s holy grail.”
