2026 Creative Emmy Awards: See the Major Winners From the First Two Nights

Widow’s Bay, Apple TV’s comedy-horror series, won eight awards at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys. That’s no easy feat, considering only one season of the show is out. In the comedy category, Betty Gilpin received an Emmy for her guest role in the series. Apart from that, Widow’s Bay was recognized for its casting, production design, sound editing, sound mixing, cinematography, music supervision, and music composition. 

Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, starring Bad Bunny, is right on the heels of Widow’s Bay with seven wins. The special was honored with Emmys for Music Direction, Choreography, Variety Special (Live), Sound Mixing, Directing, Technical Direction and Camerawork, and Lighting Design.

DTF St. Louis, HBO's dark comedy, claimed six Emmys at the 78th Emmy Awards Creative Arts ceremonies. David Harbour won in the Supporting Actor category, while Linda Cardellini took home the award for Supporting Actress. The other four categories in which DTF St. Louis earned wins were Directing, Writing, Cinematography, and Picture Editing. 

The Traitors also picked up six Emmys at the awards show, with Alan Cumming winning in the Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program category. The Peacock show also scored wins for Reality Competition Program, Directing, Production Design, Cinematography, Costumes, and Picture Editing. 

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert bagged five Emmys after being nominated for nine. The late-night show concluded its 11-season run this May, and it certainly went out on a high note. Last year, it took home only two Emmys, making this year’s five wins an even stronger showing. The show was honored in the categories of Writing, Directing, Technical Direction and Camerawork, Lighting Design, and Picture Editing.

The recently canceled series Spider-Noir was not far behind, as the Prime Video show secured five wins, just like The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The live-action superhero drama won in the categories of Cinematography, Title Design, Sound Editing, Special Visual Effects, and Stunt Coordination.
