AGT Quarterfinals 1 Results: 3 Acts Advance to Semifinals as One Dance Group Jumps to Finals

Olivia Befus, the 18-year-old dog trainer from Michigan, has advanced to the Semifinals after winning the fans’ vote. In every round, she brings something new and continues to raise the bar. For her Quarterfinal performance, she took inspiration from car racing, wearing an orange suit with black-and-white checkered patterns. She had her dogs perform several stunts and run through obstacles while Bruno Mars’ Runaway Baby played in the background. Come on, it was a given that fans would want her to return to the stage with her adorable dogs.

Another act that earned a spot in the Semifinals is Royal Lasers. Cindy, her husband Josh, and their friend Nick make up the three-person dance group. They went intergalactic for their Quarterfinal performance, battling a spaceship-like enemy and robotic foes while dancing at the same time. A shirtless animation of host Terry Crews also appeared on the screen during the final part of their routine. It will be fun to see what they come up with for the Semifinals.

Rapper Luke Taleno, whose real name is Luis Rojas, has also made it to the Semifinals. The Florida native performed his original rap, Fight, during the quarterfinals. Simon Cowell was so impressed that he used the word “very” three times while praising him. After his performance, Cowell said, “You have a very, very, very special talent. That was really, really good.” Looks like Taleno will have to work hard if he wants to earn four “verys” from Cowell in the next round.

Hunger Fingers don’t have to worry about the Semifinals, as they are heading straight to the Finals. The magic group from Seoul, South Korea, is led by Yu Hojin. For their Quarterfinal routine, the group donned traditional Korean attire, known as hanboks, and performed jaw-dropping tricks with incredible smoothness. They even earned a standing ovation from the judges. While everyone was busy clapping and cheering, Howie Mandel suddenly stretched across the judges’ panel to hit the Golden Buzzer. Interestingly, this is the group’s second Golden Buzzer from Mandel, as they also earned one from him during their audition.
