Gal Gadot, who made a mark on the film industry when she first starred as Wonder Woman, is now set to produce a new TV series.

Along with her husband and production partner Yaron Versano, Gadot will be executive producing the US adaptation of hit Israeli series 'Queens' along with Endemol Shine North America and Endemol Shine Israel.

The show will reportedly be tweaked to match the expectations of the US audience.

The original show, which was one of the most-watched shows in Israel, follows the lives of women from the Malka family who decide to come together to run the business after all the men in the family are killed by a rival party.

While the Israeli show has already received a green light for a second season that is set to release in 2020, the US adaptation does not have a release date to it yet.

Gadot and Versano will be part of the show as executive producers. They will be working to ensure that the content of the show has an impact on US audiences the way the original series did in Israel. "It is rare to find content that conveys characters in such a truthful way while mirroring society,” they said.

They will be accompanied by HOT's Nadav Hanin, Mirit Toovi and Guy Levy; Endemol Shine Israel's Amir Ganor, Gal Zaid and Ruth Zaid; and Sharon Levy and Lisa Fahrenholt of Endemol Shine North America, according to Hollywood Reporter

“Watching these women make bold decisions, hilarious mistakes, and learn to lean on one another set against a thriller backdrop, gives this show such a unique spirit that we all fell in love with it immediately,” Levy said in a statement. “It’s gratifying to see a series that treats women with a deft complexity, showcasing that our differences are the strengths that unite us.”
