Gabby Petito's parents have 'STRONG CASE' as Roberta Laundrie's note shows family KNEW about murder
Joseph Petito and Nichole Schmidt, Gabby Petito's parents may have a compelling legal case in the light of a recent allegation that Brian Laundrie's mother, Roberta Laundrie, sent her son a letter with the advice "burn after reading." Months after the FBI discovered Brian Laundrie and his skeletal remains, his astonishing admissions in his journal have recently been made public.
Laundrie claimed in the journal that he killed Gabby Petito because she had a wound and wouldn't allow him to obtain aid. But this claim has been called into question by people who are following the case. Petito's body was discovered on September 21, 2021, in Wyoming's Grand Teton National Park after her tragic cross-country trip with her fiance and companion, Brian Laundrie.

Petitos' legal counsel, Pat Reilly, released a statement condemning Roberta and Christopher's lawyer, Steven Bertolino's disclosure of the Laundrie family's notebook. Additionally, he said that while they were being sued, they withheld additional details about the terrible murder of Petito.
Reilly said to WFLA: "I find it ironic that Mr. Bertolino says he was, in full transparency, releasing this. Well, someone should ask him why he doesn't release the entire notebook – but more importantly, ask him why he doesn't release Roberta Laundrie's letter to her son."
According to Reilly's statement, there is a copy of a letter that contains some "extreme details" about Petito's murder. Former assistant U.S. attorney and current president of West Coast Trial Lawyers Neama Rahmani stated to The Sun: "The 'burn after reading' letter is important because it shows the Laundrie family's [alleged] knowledge. They haven't said anything publicly, all statements they've made have gone through their lawyer."
"This letter helps the Petitos show what the Laundries knew and when they knew it, and as they were putting statements out about looking for Gabby when they allegedly knew she was already dead. If the letter helps show that Brian's parents knew he murdered Gabby that's a very strong case," Rahmani added.
Rahmani stated: "I suspect more will come out about the Laundries' actions as discovery is conducted, documents subpoenaed, and people deposed. We'll get a lot of more information about when they knew Gabby was dead and what their son Brian told them."

The letter, according to Reilly, is undated and was "written after Gabby was killed and before Brian took his life." It was discovered in the Laundrie family's home after being retrieved from their son's van. Joseph Petito and Nichole Schmidt, Petito's parents, are suing the Laundries, alleging that they knew their son had killed the 22-year-old and are requesting more than $30,000 in damages.
