Woo-ju feels undervalued at work and overhears colleagues gossiping about her. Meanwhile, Ki-baek grapples with his honesty at home.

As Woo-ju begins to regain her confidence, Ki-baek starts exploring opportunities for remote work to minimize public appearances.

At the office, Woo-ju asserts herself while Ki-baek considers a tutoring gig despite initial hesitation.

Woo-ju narrowly avoids an accident with a bike, but Ki-baek swoops in just in time to rescue her. They bond over drinks, sharing their career struggles.

Later, Ki-baek declines a job offer, only to be tempted back with the promise of a tripled salary. However, he discovers that the position is actually for tutoring.

Alone at work, Woo-ju seeks inspiration from Ki-baek's notebook. After getting the idea, both get a sudden urge to meet and rush to each other at their favorite spot.

As they bicker about their respective miseries, a falling 'can' leads to an electrical outage.

In the darkness, Ki-baek encourages Woo-ju to pursue her idea. Meanwhile, viewers witness a hint of jealousy from Kim Jeong-heon (Joo Jong-Hyuk) as Woo-ju waits for Ki-baek.
