PARIS, FRANCE: Apple TV+'s latest biographical series, 'Franklin' is not only an artistic treat but serves as a great history lesson as well.
It follows Benjamin Franklin's (Michael Douglas) stay in France where he persuaded King Louis XVI (Tom Pezier) to support America in its war against Great Britain.
Four of the total eight episodes have been released so far, and it has definitely emerged as an interesting watch, especially for the history buffs.
What happens in 'Franklin' Episode 4?
'Franklin' Episode 4 introduces a major breakthrough in Franklin's mission. America's victory in Saratoga opens doors for an alliance with France.
Count of Vergennes (Thibault de Montalembert) proposes a treaty and Franklin agrees to sign only if the French King openly declares their participation in the American Revolution.
During Franklin's meeting with King Louis XVI, the alliance between America and France is officially announced.

'Franklin' Episode 4 ends on a cliffhanger as Franklin's position in France faces imminent danger. John Adams (Eddie Marsan) arrives in France to replace Franklin after his motives come under the scrutiny of Congress.
In the upcoming episode, scheduled to release on April 26, tensions mounting between Franklin and Adams will take center stage.
