A middle school teacher from Florida has reportedly been reassigned after an online quiz she gave to her students included a question referring to President Donald Trump as an "idiot."'

Shortly after the incident, the School District of Palm Beach County launched an investigation at Watson B. Duncan Middle School when a child told his father about the question. The parent then alerted administrators about it, according to WPTV.

The controversial test asked students who this was describing: "45th Pres; 2017; Republican; Real estate businessman; Idiot."

The four choices given to the students were Donald Trump, Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, and Jimmy Carter. Trump, who is a Republican, is the 45th US President and assumed the presidency in January 2017. Before entering politics, he was also known across the world for his real estate empire.

The parent who had alerted administrators about the quiz question, Cameron Cay, also took to Twitter, saying: "This was an actual question on my daughter's middle school test today. Furious. Going to raise some hell with the principal. Indoctrination will not continue. (See word “idiot” at the end of our presidents multiple choice answer). Not having it!" Ever since he wrote the tweet, he has switched his Twitter account to private.

The enraged father reportedly met with the school's principal on Thursday and updated his followers on Twitter about the issue, saying: "So far the school has been responsive and cooperative. They apologized and fully recognize this as unacceptable."

Duncan Principal Philip D'Amico, in a letter addressed to parents on Wednesday, talked about the incident, saying: "The question was inappropriate and demonstrated an unacceptable lack of good judgement on the part of the teacher," according to the New York Post.

The principal added that "an investigation is now underway, and the teacher has been reassigned during this process. I apologize for this incident and for the offensive verbiage used in the question."
