A Florida school resource officer who shared an explicit video of herself, naked, to her husband after locking the school's bathroom has now been fired.

The Kissimmee Police Department officer, who cannot be named for legal reasons, recorded the video in December while she was on duty at the Imagine Kissimmee Charter Academy before sending it to her husband, as per case files obtained by Fox News.

The woman appears to be naked in the staff bathroom while touching herself inappropriately, urinating, and talking dirty to her husband.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office came across the video, along with several other explicit photos, earlier this year when a detective was investigating a domestic issue between the officer and her husband.

According to the woman, she was on her lunch break "in a locked restroom" where "no one could have walked in on her" while shooting the video. But detectives maintained that her actions and nude state "would delay any immediate response" during unforeseen circumstances.

The school is attended by more than 770 students from kindergarten through eighth grade, and the resource officer admitted she got the job "due to (the) recent school shooting in Florida."

Speaking to investigators, the woman said she didn't realize she was violating any policies and that she was "was more concerned about what she was going home to." According to her, she was forced by her husband to send the video and pictures, adding that she was a victim of domestic abuse.

According to the police report, she "expressed regret for her actions" and "now knows it was wrong." However, she didn't think she should be fired for her actions.

In a memorandum to the department's deputy chief, she wrote that "sending the material did not affect the ability to perform my job, and it is imperative to note that no one was hurt because of my actions."

As soon as the department was made aware of the footage, Police Chief Jeffrey O'Dell said they "immediately launched an investigation and removed the officer form (sic) the schools (sic) campus."

"The safety and security of our community, especially when it comes to our children, is our top priority at the Kissimmee Police Department," he said, per WKMG-TV. "The actions taken by this School Resource Officer on duty, while working at a school, were not a reflection of the Department’s top-most priority and as a result, that person was terminated."
