A Florida professor who killed his three-year-old daughter before hanging himself in a gruesome murder-suicide left a note which apparently explained his reason for taking the drastic step. The 48-year-old Ayhan Aytes, a native of Turkey who was a permanent resident of the United States and a media and communication scholar working as an assistant visiting professor at the University of Florida, was found dead along with his daughter at their suburban Tampa home in Temple Terrace on December 10.
According to the Daily Mail, when deputies arrived at his first-floor condo, they found Aytes hanging on his back porch while his daughter was found dead on the bed.
