A 25-year-old daycare worker from Florida was charged with child neglect after four toddlers under her supervision suffered broken legs on the same day, according to reports.

The woman, identified as Christina Marie Curtis of Fort Walton Beach, was arrested in July for the alleged incidents at Kids Discovery Learning Center in Valparaiso, Florida. Reports state that the four boys, who were between the ages of 13 and 21 months, were all fine on the morning of May 21, 2019, when they were dropped at the facility, however, they later had difficulty standing or walking, according to the Panama City News-Herald.

After the children were examined by medical personnel, it was determined that all of them had suffered leg fractures.

One mother, Terika Graham, while talking to the outlet said that she had instructed Curtis to keep her child inside on the day of the alleged incident because he had a rash. However, later when she picked up the toddler, she claimed there was "dirt all in his hair" and she was not given an explanation for it for three days.

Graham reportedly believes that Curtis let her child crawl around outside despite being asked not to. The mother said that her son suffered a hairline fracture but is now healing well.

The toddler's injuries were not as serious as the other three children. "His balance is still a little funny, but I believe that will get better soon," Graham added.

According to surveillance footage, Curtis was allegedly seen walking one of the victims, an 18-month-old, while holding his hands above his head. According to an arrest report, she reportedly "rapidly jerked him into the air."

"When (he) was picked up, his feet and legs were in the air and was dropped feet first into a wagon. Other children were placed in the wagon and it was pulled outside," the outlet reported.

After the child woke up from his nap inside the wagon, he was unable to put weight on his legs. According to the outlet, a teacher reportedly instructed Curtis to contact the center's front desk multiple times about the injury.

Curtis, who has been barred from working in any child facilities or schools, has been released on $4,000 as she awaits her hearing.
