Florida city commissioner 'licked' male colleagues, grabbed their privates as a 'show of dominance'
A 60-year-old Florida city commissioner from Madeira Beach reportedly resigned after being slapped with a fine for drunkenly licking a former city manager's face and also groping him in public nearly seven years earlier. Nancy Oakley submitted a letter of resignation on Tuesday in which she stated that she was innocent, however, she added that it was time for everyone to "move on."
The Florida Commission on Ethics, in January, had voted to fine Oakley $5,000 for her misbehavior towards former Madeira Beach City Manager Shane Crawford. The commission reportedly also voted to appeal to the governor to reprimand Oakley formally, according to the Daily Mail.
Shortly after the incident became public, three other men also accused Oakley of licking them against their will, reports state. Crawford, in a statement, alleged that Oakley had a "habit of licking men that either she was attracted to or thought that she had authority over." The 41-year-old reportedly left his post in 2017, claiming in a complaint that Oakley was drunk when she came up to him and licked the side of his face. He also alleged that she once grabbed his private parts in a "show of dominance."
